Conversations of Grace
Short stories about personal witnessing written by members of our congregation to equip and inspire you ... even the smallest exchange about Jesus' love can have a great impact in someone's life.
We at Our Savior's Way are reaching out to those who do not know the Good News that Jesus brings. One of the ways we are doing this is by participating in the Lutheran Church's ABLAZE! program. As our members intentionally reach out to others - family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, and other encounters provided by God, they are recording their stories below called "Conversations of Grace" for others to read.

FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
What is Ablaze?
Ablaze is a focused and concentrated effort to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with those who do not yet know Him. The Lutheran Church Missouri Synod sponsors this program and OSW is committed to its goal of reaching 100 million unreached and uncommitted people with the Gospel by 2017, which is the 500th anniversary of the Reformation.
How is Our Savior's Way Participating in Ablaze?
By simply sharing the word of God and Jesus' love in what we call Conversations of Grace. Whether it be a brief encounter with a stranger, or a heart-to-heart talk with a best friend with whom we have never discussed Jesus before, these conversations help to spread the good news.
If you are not sure you can do it, or don't feel quite comfortable, please take a minute and read these helpful tips for having your own Conversation of Grace.

Why do we call it ABLAZE?
ABLAZE! derives its name from the New Testament scripture from Luke where Jesus appeared
after his crucifixion to two of his followers on the road to Emmaus...
"As they came near the village to which they were going, he walked ahead as if he were going on.
But they urged him strongly, saying, 'Stay with us, because it is almost evening and the day is now nearly over.'
So he went in to stay with them. When he was at the table with them, he took bread, blessed and broke it,
and gave it to them. Then their eyes were opened, and they recognized him; and he vanished from their sight.
They said to each other, 'Were not our hearts burning (ABLAZE!) within us while
he was talking to us on the road, while he was opening the scriptures to us?'
That same hour they got up and returned to Jerusalem; and they found the eleven and their companions gathered together.
They were saying, 'The Lord has risen indeed, and he has appeared to Simon!'
Then they told what had happened on the road, and how he had been made known to them in the breaking of the bread." Luke 24:28-35 (NRSV)
