Jesus is at the center

The Christian faith begins with what God has done for us. God created us, seeks us, forgives us, and gives us new life through Jesus Christ.

One God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit

We believe in one God who has made Himself known as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is not distant or unknowable. He has come near to us in Jesus.

Jesus lived, died, and rose for us

Jesus Christ is true God and true man. He carried our sin to the cross, died in our place, and rose from the dead. Because Jesus lives, sin is forgiven, death has been defeated, and eternal life is His gift.

Grace is God’s gift

We cannot earn God’s love or repair our relationship with Him through our own effort. God saves us by grace through faith in Jesus.

The Bible is God’s Word

We believe the Old and New Testaments are the inspired Word of God and the trustworthy source of Christian faith and life. We read every part of Scripture in light of its center: Jesus Christ crucified and risen for the world.

In Baptism, God makes a promise

Through water and His Word, God joins us to the death and resurrection of Jesus, forgives sin, gives the Holy Spirit, and welcomes us into His family. Because Baptism rests on God’s promise, we baptize infants, children, and adults.

Jesus meets us at His table

In the Lord’s Supper, Jesus gives us His true body and blood with the bread and wine for the forgiveness of sins. Communion also expresses the Christian faith we confess together. For that reason, Our Savior’s Way practices close Communion and asks visitors to speak with a pastor before receiving it.

Why we are Lutheran

The Lutheran Reformation called the Church back to the good news that sinners are justified by God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Our Savior’s Way is a congregation of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod and shares the historic Christian faith confessed in the Apostles’, Nicene, and Athanasian Creeds.
