The Church is not sustained by our strength, but by the Son’s intercession, the Father’s keeping, and the Spirit’s sanctifying work through the Word. Law: We live as if everything depends on us. We fear division, failure, and loss, and we forget who is praying for us. Gospel: Jesus asks the Father to keep, sanctify, and unite His people. The One who dies for you also prays for you, and His prayer is not wasted.
